Diabetes and Hearing Loss

A recently published paper in the Annals of Internal Medicine reports the finding of an increased incidence of hearing loss among people with diabetes. The authors speculate that this may represent a microvascular complication of diabetes.

Hi Everyone--

This is a great way to share information about diabetes care issues.

What do people think about the MDs trying to attain the CDE credential?

My thought for those trying to achieve greater knowledge is to check out CADRE, the Council for the Advancement of Diabetes Research and Education. They have information and case studies available at their website (www.cadre-diabetes.org) and they are free for you to review. I have found them to be practical examples for discussion.

Were you at the recent ADA meeting? Share your impressions. Please try to focus on diabetes-related issues rather than the view from the Embarcadero or a particularly good Thai meal you may have had.
